COD: Black Ops enabling console and Zombie mode (Skidrow)
If you downloaded Skidrow version this is how to enable console.
1. Go to game directory and go to Players folder e.g. C:\ProgramFiles\BlackOps\players
2. Open config.cfg
3. In the config.cfg search for “monkeytoy” (ctrl+f to find) and change value from “1” to “0” (to enable console)
4. Save

In game press tild (~) and type map zombie_pentagon or map zombie_theater or map zombietron (thats dead ops).
Play
MP still doesn`t work nor CO-OP

Here’s how it worked for me:
I ran the game as admin (right click the .exe, or the shortcut and select “run as administrator”.), which made the Players folder appear. Then closed the game.
I then edited the monkey thing as described above, I changed the file to Read Only, and then I re-ran the game as admin (right click the .exe, or the shortcut and select “run as administrator”.)
Then I would press the key and the console would appear.
(I dont know if saving a file makes the Players folder appear since I had photoshop open which makes the Esc key not work for some reason, which means I couldn’t pause and/or save in one player).

i could not open console though i found “monkeytoy” and it is now set to 0 but i cant open console!! though i press~ somebody help? oh and i also have update 2-3 skidrow…
only dumb idiots inhere ?! LOL TL,DR … instruction (64bit) go to the hdd wherever u installed ur game. should look like C: / …(x86) / Steam / SteamApps / Common / Call of Duty Black Ops / Players / config
NOT config_mp , thats for multiplayer u know..
open fucking config with word or notepad.. change variables to what u want them to… SAVE ON DESKTOP as config.txt and COPY / REPLACE the old data in your players folder.. dont forget to backup the original file.

i tried copying to my desktop and then save but it’s just saying ‘Please check wether if this file is opened with another program’

ALERT! If u dont find player folder RUN black ops singleplayer and multiplayer on admin mod. There should be player folder created on you main black ops folder :))
when you have done this go to the config.cfg file …. right click and got to proprieties and change it to read only so it dosent change it again
HOX! IF YOU CAN’T FIND THE PLAYERS FOLDER JUST TYPE CONFIG.CFG TO THE FINDER! FOUND IT THAT WAY
